In the competitive world of short-term rentals, branding is a powerful differentiator. For properties designed for vacationers, event hosts, or creative travelers, intentional branding not only sets the tone, it directly influences booking rates.

With Emerald Vista, I developed a brand identity that communicates a clear visual story before guests ever arrive. The goal was to ensure that the space felt instantly recognizable, stylistically consistent, and aligned with guest expectations.

The challenge was to create a cohesive brand that balances:
• A modern-retro aesthetic
• Influences from traditional Southwest decor, with a deep feeling
• A memorable and marketable identity rooted in its location of Santa Fe, New Mexico

I approached the project with the understanding that branding starts with atmosphere. From the property name to the decorative details, every element had to work together to tell a story.

Key branding moves included:

  • Choosing the name Emerald Vista to evoke both visual beauty and a sense of escape, while referencing the property’s natural surroundings

  • Designing interiors that blend mid-century modern lines with earthy, textured Southwestern accents

  • Developing color palettes and visual materials that align with both digital and in-person guest experiences

  • Creating on-brand touchpoints—like custom towels and coasters—to reinforce the identity and boost shareability

Thanks to this branding foundation, Emerald Vista stands out in a saturated rental market. Guests know exactly to expect a stylish, thoughtfully curated experience, and are more likely to book, return, and recommend the space.
